Drawing from southern, gospel, and country influences, Wayn.Rite Music & Publishing has had a lasting impact on the music industry.

Wayn.Rite Music & Publishing was founded by Wayne E. Hensley. Wayne was exposed to country and gospel music at a very young age, and both sides of his family were musically inclined. At the age of nine, Wayne learned how to play the guitar and the piano, and by age 11, he played the piano in church for junior choir. By age 14, Wayne played lead guitar for a local band, and by age 16, he had formed a five-piece band called “The Intruders,” which played for teen dances, dorm parties, school functions, proms, battle of the bands, etc.

About Wayn.Rite Music & Publishing

Wayne’s musical career continued well beyond his youth, and he eventually moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where his musical interests continued. In the 1990s, he had the opportunity to be a part of many bands. For example, he played the guitar in a three-piece band called the “Magic Mushroom” that played for clubs, dorm parties, and other college gigs. Later on, he filled in for the lead guitarist of a Chattanooga band known as “The Playthings” and later became their full-time bassist. This band later worked with Empire Productions, where it had the opportunity to be the opening act for recording artists like Wilson Pickett, B.J. Thomas, Fats Domino, Sam & Dave, Kenny Rogers, and 1st Edition.

Wayne also has extensive recording experience, and he has been writing music and lyrics for most of his musical life. He draws from contemporary gospel influences, as well as rock, blues, country, and southern music. Just recently he finished a five-year project that involved recording 43 CDs of his own original music.

As a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International, Wayne’s passion for music is everything, and he looks forward to where it will lead him in the future. To find out more, please contact us at Wayn.Rite Music & Publishing.
